Dr. Duveneck grew up in Belvidere, NJ and completed her undergraduate studies at York College of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA in 2015 and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Hunterdon Medical Center in 2018, where she served as Chief Resident from 2016-2017. Dr. Ellen stayed on staff at Hunterdon as Faculty Physician, teaching residents and medical students in addition to seeing patients at Hunterdon Family Medicine at Delaware Valley until 2026.

Dr. Ellen was first drawn to Integrative Medicine during medical school after taking a "complementary and alternative medicine" course. Her passion for Integrative and Functional Medicine grew during her residency and early practice. When faced with personal health challenges, she realized that traditional medicine doesn't always offer the best tools for healing, and that a more holistic, root cause approach was necessary to achieve long term health. She has been treating patients in this way for the last 10 years as well as teaching residents about integrative/functional medicine - a topic that unfortunately does not get taught in medical schools. She was awarded the 2026 Faculty Teacher of the Year Award by the Hunterdon Family Residency program.

Dr. Ellen is an active member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and American Academy of Family Physicians. She enjoys spending time with her husband Ryan and two young children, exercise of any kind but especially Peloton bike and strength classes, transforming "comfort food" recipes into healthier (although equally delicious!) versions, and stays active in her church.
